About Us
The person behind HomeBasedPros.com –
Like you, Ken Hall, works and sells from his home, so he speaks from experience! Also, like you, he wasn’t born to be a salesperson, and, in fact, when he entered college he swore he would never do two things – be in sales or go into business for himself. Like most of you, he disliked stereotypical salespeople. They were pushy, tried to trap customers with manipulative sales techniques, and were more interested in making the sale than building a relationship or helping him buy what was best for him. He just wanted to be left alone to look at the products and make up his mind on what to buy.
Yet, years later, here he is, telling you he can help you be a much, much better salesperson. Why the change? And why does he know he can help you?
The paradigm shift came when he was thrust into a job managing a sales team involved in selling upscale travel. Going on calls with his team members he saw how clients reacted to various sales techniques. He studied how they responded to different sales people. He wondered what made the difference between poor salespeople, good salespeople and great salespeople. And he learned to ask questions - lots of questions - and really listen to the answers.
He worked on developing his team members individually. He helped them develop their strengths and work on their weaknesses. Seeing them succeed was fun. Watching sales increase was fun. Seeing sales quotas being exceeded was fun. Seeing his team members get bonuses was fun. Winning WAS FUN!
Finally, he understood how to satisfy customers and succeed in sales and decided to use his knowledge to help others learn to have those same successes. He wants you to have fun - fun seeing your sales increase; fun seeing your earnings increase; and fun winning in the game of life!
On the HomeBasedPros website you see a page marked “Ask Us.” Ken wants to help you as an individual, and he knows it sometimes takes looking at specific problems and challenges. If you have a particularly vexing problem, send it to Ken and he will get back to you with some ways to handle the challenge. Be specific, and be brief. And let Ken know if he can use it as a training aid for others on the website.
Finally, let Ken know how he can improve the website so it will be more beneficial for you. Tell him what he can do that will help you make your selling efforts more productive, more rewarding, and, most of all, more fun. After all, shouldn’t you have fun while making a good living?
